WEPC.com, created by ASUS and Intel Corporation, launched back in October of 2008 with a very ambitious mission: to activate a global conversation where the community plays an integral role in the conception, design, and development of a socially-designed PC.
The site is well on its way. The first goal has been realized. Thousands of registered users have submitted thousands of PC dreams and ideas, leading bloggers have submitted hundreds of posts, and the best ideas have received more than 13,000 votes.
The second goal is coming closer every day. Last month the Finalist Section was announced where users can vote on and discuss their favorite ideas. Intel and Asus are listening and we’re getting closer to the production of the first socially-designed PC.
One of the most requested features from the community is the ability to converse with one and other. So today we’ve announced the addition of Discussions so that users can start conversations with each other, with the participating bloggers, and with representatives from ASUS and Intel Corporation.
